Recipe: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I've been feeling very inspired at the moment to bake due to the Great British Bake Off. (genuinely the single greatest cooking show ever) I decided to bake these delicious Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies today and thought I'd share the recipe with you all! So keep reading to find out how to make these mouthwatering treats.

I N G R E D I E NT S

110g softened butter // 130g peanut butter // 220g dark brown soft sugar // 100g caster sugar // 2 eggs // 2 tbps golden syrup // 2 tbsp water // 2 tsps vanilla extract // 310g plain flour // 1 tsp bicarb soda // 1/2 tsp salt // 340g chopped chocolate of your choice (I used a combination of milk and white chocolate for extra yummy-ness!)

*preheat oven to 190 c / Gas 5*

M E T H O D

1. In a large bowl (or food processor like I used) cream together the butter, peanut butter, dark brown soft sugar, and caster sugar until smooth.

2. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Then stir in the golden syrup, water and vanilla.

3. Combine flour, bicarb soda and salt in a separate bowl, then combine with the peanut butter mixture and mix!

4. Fold in the chocolate chunks (mm yummiest part!)

5. Drop by heaping spoonfuls 7cm apart (my baking trays weren't big enough, so I spread them as far a apart as I could and they turned out great!) onto lined baking trays.

6. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Let them cool for a minute on the baking trays before removing to wire racks to cool completely

And voila! The cookies are ready to be demolished. They're lovely and chewy if you don't over bake them, perfect treat after a hard days work at uni/school/work with a glass of cold milk. Hope you found this recipe useful and have fun trying the cookies out, if you have any great recipe ideas please post them in the comments.

Love always,

A Look Into My Life...

Despite this being mainly a fashion & beauty blog, I thought I should probably give you a little glimpse of what my life is actually like. It's full of a lot of madness and wildness. But also nice quiet, relaxing times back home by the beach in the highlands. These photos are just a small snapshot of my life & my summer, but at least you can build a picture of what I'm like as a person. My friends & family mean everything to me, and I'm lucky to be surrounded by such fantastic human beings.

Love always,

Current Beauty Favourites

I absolutely adore this lipstick! It's definitely my current go-to lipstick for day and for night. It's           a perfect 'your lips but better' nude. I found it whilst browsing the aisles of boots, and I'm so glad
I did. Kylie Jenner fans, this is also a very good match for her current lipstick shade!

I've always suffered from having slightly frizzy, flyaway hair, especially when it's curly, which
it usually is. I was looking for a good frizz controller and seen a few reviews online for this, although slightly pricey, you really only need a tiny amount of product each time, so I can see this lasting me a while. I rub a pea sized amount between my hands then run it through my hair, concentrating on the areas which attracts the most frizz. It's a great product for keeping frizz and flyaways at bay, and I'd definitely recommend it!

03 // Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - £3.33 (usually £4.99 but on offer in boots)
After reading a lot of hype about this on blogs I decided to give it a go. I really like this                       cleansing water, definitely my favourite of the micellar waters that I have tried. It's really good           at removing eye and face make-up, and leaves my face feeling clean and fresh. So inexpensive considering how much you get! (400ml)

04 // Body Shop Mango Body Whip - £8.00

This has to be my favourite body lotion ever. It smells divine and leaves your skin silky smooth.
Body Shop lotions have always been my personal favourites, but this is incredible and smells good enough to eat!

No stranger to the blogging world the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is my all time

favourite. It covers like a dream and lasts all day. Be warned, make sure you moisturise your
skin well before using, as it will cling to any dry patches, especially round the eyes. But for £4 who's complaining?!

Another beauty from the lasting perfection range is the ultimate wear powder. It works well with the concealer, and gives the perfect amount of matteness (is that even a word?!) whilst mainting a healthy, dewy glow which I like. It makes your foundation last all day with a few touch ups here and there. Such a great high street powder, at a great price!

I used to use the spray can version of this religiously when I was about sixteen, then recently, discovered that they now sell a cream version, and my god, it is incredible! So much better than

the spray and leaves you with a really nice, natural tan, and makes your legs look flawless! It covers bruises and minor cuts/scratches (which is great for me as I'm the clumsiest person alive!) such a must have and a staple in my beauty routine.

I know it might be weird to include a deodorant in a favourites but hey, we all use it so why  This is my favourite deodorant and scent as it keeps you smelling fresh and keeps the sweat at bay! Not sure if it lives up to it's 48hr protection claims as I haven't really gone that long without showering but it sure does last at least 12!

I'm always on the hunt for a new foundation and I read a few reviews about this one and decided to give it a go, and I'm so glad I did! This foundation is beautiful, it sits wonderfully on the skin and gives a gorgeous, dewy glow to your skin, which is what I tend to prefer in a foundation. It looks really natural if you only use a little bit, but it can be layered to give a more flawless, full coverage look. The only thing is the colour selection is fairly limited and you may have to swatch a few until you find a good match for your skin.

They're all the products I've been loving using right now, if anyone's got any suggestions pleas leave them in the comments below, much love,

Review: Primark's 'He Loves Me' Perfume

50ml bottle: £6

I've been looking for a new perfume for a while now. I have always gravitated towards Marc Jacobs for fragrance (Daisy and Lola being my personal favourites), so when I seen this in Primark, I was extremely excited and knew I had to buy one straight away!

The packaging is what initially drew me in, firstly it looks like a potential dupe for Daisy, with the cute daisy attached to the lid, and of course, the name. They also sell mini rollerball versions of the perfume for only £2. (which I will be picking up for my handbag) I bought the perfume without smelling it, because at only £6 even if it did smell terrible it wouldn't be the end of the world!

The scent is GORGEOUS, it's light, fresh and feminine, with a lot of floral notes coming through. It's a really beautiful, easy fragrance to spritz on if you're just heading out the door. I wear it during the day and at night, and have received many compliments on it. It is very similar to Daisy by Marc Jacobs, just without the price tag! It lasts on the skin for ages as well, obviously not all day, but not many perfumes do! So for £6 you definitely cannot go wrong, I will definitely be picking up more of Primark's perfumes when I next make a visit. If you've tried any of their others, which ones would you recommend?

Thank you for reading, with love always,

Georgia x

welcome to ghostculture

Hello! My name is Georgia, I'm a twenty-year-old, 3rd year Marketing student from Glasgow. I aim for this blog to be a place for me to post my outfits, reviews of my favourite (& least) beauty products, music I'm enjoying and also the odd ramble here and there. After following and religiously reading blogs over three or four years, I felt like it's about time I start my own. I'm looking forward to posting and seeing where this can take me.
